Hot Honey Pistachio Crusted Feta
Serves 2–4
Ingredients
1 block feta cheese (kept whole)
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 egg beaten
½ cup finely chopped Setton Farms Hot Honey Seasoned Pistachio Kernels
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the drizzle
1–2 tablespoons honey
Directions
Pat the feta block dry.
Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with the finely chopped pistachios.
Dredge the feta in flour, coating all sides.
Dip into the egg, then press into the pistachios, using your hands to pack them on so they stick well.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over low heat.
Carefully place the feta in the pan and cook slowly, turning gently every few minutes, so the pistachios don’t burn and the inside has time to soften. Cook until all sides are golden and the center is warm and creamy.
Transfer to a plate and drizzle with honey while warm
Serve
Serve whole and slice, or smear onto toasted sourdough. Or fresh veggies.
Crispy outside, soft and melty inside with that sweet heat.
